"...thank you for bringing my husband, Rudy, back from a hearing loss and being left out of a conversation to being the center of attention and a part of corporate conversations. He is so pleased..."

There is no substitute for an informed consumer.
Hearing instrument programming and technology have recently improved customer satisfaction dramatically, but it has not made selection of the person to provide these services any easier. When you need hearing assistance, please consider these points:
1) "You get what you pay for." In a perfect world this would be true, but all too often you are paying for the miracle of marketing.
2) Every promise must be put in writing. Otherwise it does not legally exist and you have no recourse.
3) You are guaranteed a 30 day trial period by federal law. A longer trial period can and should be negotiated if you are not absolutely sure of your fitting after two weeks. See #2.
4) If you return the hearing aids, get your money that day or a receipt that states when you will receive the refund. See #2.
5) PROVE IT! What testing will be done to prove that the hearing aids are correct for my hearing loss?
6) If the deal being offered is good "for today only," it is not a good deal.
7) Why is it that you walk in with an advertisement for a $600.00 hearing aid and walk out with a $6000.00 pair? Again, the miracle of marketing.
8) No reputable hearing aid manufacturer has a program for fitting hearing aids successfully that is a one-step process.
9) 80% of what goes wrong with hearing aids is the consumer.
10) No hearing aid blocks out all background sound.
